Barley Sugars

I have just done the 40 hour famine. And I can tell you - I am never, ever having a barley sugar EVER AGAIN!!! Before the famine, it was just 'Oh yay, 40 hours of eating barley sugars, yum yum yum!!' But now it's 'if I ever see another barley sugar again I'll puke...' They are evil. EVIL!!! But, the famine's still good (it raises money for people who food and other extremefully vital ingredients to lifing) So THEREFORE it was worth it... Worth it feeling sick... OH and another reason why it was worth it was the FEAST AFTER :D

There was lasagne, spring rolls, little spinach and feta pastry things, cornchips and onion dip, garlic bread, and banoffee pie!!! (if you haven't had banoffee pie, HAVE IT it's delicious)
This is the amazingly delicingtastic recipe for Banoffee pie:

INGREDIENTS:
150g melted butter,
250g packet plain biscuits (crushed),
330g can highlander caramel,
2 bananas,
3/4 cup cream (whipped),
2-3 Tbsp grated chocolate.

METHOD:
Combine the melted butter and crushed biscuits and mix thoroughly. Press the mixture into the base and sides of a deep 20cm loose-based flan. Refrigerate for 30 mins Spread caramel over crumb base and refrigerate for 1 hour, until caramel is firm.To serve, slice the bananas and arrange half of them over the set caramel. Top with the whipped cream and decorate with the remaining banana slices and grated chocolate.

It. Is. Amazing.

And after that I felt so full I almost died. My stomach had obviously shrunk to the size of a pin head, so with all the amazing food I burst. Almost. I would have, if I had eaten anything else. Like m*shr**ms (ukk, even with it censored that disgusting word is horrible) NO offense to anyone who likes m*shr**ms (if that is possible) because it may just be my weird and insane (and of course absolutely right and correct) tastebuds.
